Nina & Wes

Nina grew up in Upstate New York, playing in apple orchards and riding her bike to the next town because that’s what you did in the 80’s. Parental supervision? What was that?

Wes grew up in Ohio, playing basketball and flirting with girls at church camp.

In 2003 Nina & Wes got married, and it’s been a wild ride ever since!

We took a four-year hiatus from wedding photography, but through a series of events, and a whole lot of prayer, we have opened our schedule to some weddings each year. But we are doing things a little differently. You can see what that is all about right here.

Kentucky is where we call home now, and it’s beautiful with all its horses and rolling green hills. We have two 15-year-old weirdos that we love and adore. And let’s not forget the furballs in the house…one doodle and two cats…and outside the house…four mini donkeys (cutest things ever!), 50+ chickens and ducks,  a jersey bull calf (we just said goodbye to all of our jersey girls!), two Great Pyrenees, and 5 KuneKune pigs who are the funnest and sweetest things ever.

Nina loves to read, and some of her favorites include Harry Potter (Gryffindor here!), The Hiding Place, and anything by C.S. Lewis. Wes is an avid fan of Sherlock Holmes, Greek epics, and he’s quite the C.S. Lewis scholar.

We believe that each one of us has a purpose in this life and we have the choice to choose our own way (as Viktor Frankl says). Life offers us joy and laughter even when the world swirling around us tells us we should be somber and scared.

So in the midst of the chaos of the last few years, we started a homestead, while we continue to capture love and memories on film (did I mention we shoot our weddings on both digital AND medium format film?). Welcome to our holy mess!
